Back down to earth then...
To say that I'm glad that we got the grass cut yesterday might not the most 'on trend' thing to say and might not get the most 'retweets' but it's true.
Having wondered if it was ever going to stop raining over the last couple of weeks and seemingly watching the grass grow before our very eyes, it was very satisfying to get it done. Surprisingly, there were no green frogs darting for cover as Larry the Lawnmower chomped his way through the blades of grass!
We call all of the household appliances names for our little bear. She watched from inside as Larry the Lawnmower filled up his tummy! For the record, we've also got Kelly Kettle, Mikey Microwave, Brenda the Blender, Percy Plug, Betty Bin. Never a dull moment in this house ;)
Having promised a visit to the 'big' park this morning when the sun was shining, we thankfully went this morning and walked home with ever-bigger raindrops falling from the sky yet again!
I've just this minute received a text from my friend who I met at baby swimming to say that she's had a broken foot and her hubby has had viral meningitis. Phew, what a nightmare... I often think that we've had our fair share of dramas and then someone comes along and says something like that and you realise you're not the only ones battling to stay sane every day!
Oh, almost forgot. I thought I'd be ambitious and quickly make some muffins before our walk to the park this morning. Apple, oat and sultana muffins... Clara the Cooker beeped and I got distracted by my Mum ringing just at the precise moment! The muffins are slightly burnt on top and I've had to pull out the burnt sultanas. They're also a bit dry and not as fluffy as normal! Our bear pulled her face when she saw hers but then gobbled it as usual :)
I've taken some more pics of my jewellery handiwork by the way... I'll download them tomorrow.
