Contestant 1 is racking their brains on how to deal with this one.
Contestant 2 is standing there with arms crossed, a steely look in their eyes. It's called 'the toddler stance'.
Contestant 1 is Mummy aka 'me'. I'm trying to persuade our little bear to go upstairs and get in the bath. This isn't usually an issue at all. But this particular night she is tired (Mummy is too!) and oh so grizzly (Mummy is too!).
A little while later, she decides she's happy to get in the bath and I even have to coax her out! What changed in her head to lure her in the bath? I'm really not sure.
At the time of the battle I really wonder if I'm handling it 'right' but just shrug to myself and think, "Oh well, there is no right way!" and get on with it...
Being a Mummy is the hardest job in the world at times. In a previous job, I used to negotiate verbally with people every day... and now it seems I'm doing it again!
